Your abs are better served if you work upon them after a cardio vascular workout and on an empty stomach. Then you will really see the results from all of those crunches that you have done.

The tightest fitness regime cannot work if you have not paid ample attention to nutritional requirements. This means you need to have a diet that is balanced and contains the right sorts of food needed for muscle growth and repair. These are lean proteins along with plenty of vitamin rich fruits and vegetables and small portions of whole grains so you get the carbohydrates needed for energy.

Hydration and rest are of equal importance too. You cannot be expected to function properly without these. Drinking enough water means that your digestion works better and it helps the muscles to repair themselves and the skin to appear younger. The same applies to getting the right amount of sleep.
